🌟 Opportunity : Cloud Engineer
Our client is a global leader and fast-growing Belgian multinational committed to excellence in EHS compliance. 🚀 Responsibilities :
- Design and Architecture: Create robust and scalable cloud architectures that align with business requirements, optimizing cost, performance, and security. Document infrastructure design, deployment procedures, disaster recovery plans, and project aspects.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and manage cloud resources efficiently using Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Automation: Automate deployment, scaling, and maintenance processes to enhance operational efficiency. Maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment.
- Application Deployment: Ensure high availability and fault tolerance in cloud application deployments. Manage Kubernetes clusters, including deployment, scaling, and monitoring of containerized applications.
- Security: Implement best security practices, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and network security. Identify and mitigate security threats.
- Cost Optimization: Monitor resource usage and optimize costs by right-sizing instances and utilizing reserved or spot instances. Lead Elasticsearch infrastructure optimization efforts.
- Stay Updated: Keep up with emerging technologies and trends in DevOps, cloud computing, and infrastructure automation.
👤 Profile sought :
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
Education :
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience in a related field.
Experience :
At least 5 years in a similar role.
Technical Skills :
- Proven track record of designing and implementing complex infrastructure solutions.
- Strong expertise in cloud platforms, preferably Azure (others are a plus).
- Proficiency in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
- Deep knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Splunk).
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in production environments.
- Experience with Networking (VNet, subnets, routes, DNS, peerings) is a differentiator.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional team environments.
- Experience implementing High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions.
- Strong performance tuning skills for infrastructure components.
- Security-first approach in infrastructure and DevOps processes.
- Fluent in English (Portuguese is a plus).
Nice to Have :
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI).
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (Python, Shell, Java, .Net).
- Experience implementing monitoring and logging solutions.
- Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
