📁 About our client:
Our client is the global leader in regulatory and sustainability intelligence, helping the world's largest companies navigate Environment, Health & Safety, Corporate Sustainability, and Product Compliance.
They are reinforcing their AI capabilities to keep their leadership as an AI-native compliance intelligence platform, with a foundational AI platform built around ontology, data, and platform surfaces, strong CAIO sponsorship, and direct executive air cover for the product layer of the AI transformation.
🚀 Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Vision
Own the multi-year product vision and strategy for the AI Intelligence portfolio, aligned with the broader company strategy and the Chief AI Officer's vision.
Translate foundational platform capabilities (ontology, data, LLM gateway, agentic frameworks) into commercially defensible products, not just internal tooling.
Sequence the roadmap against the hiring waves so each wave exits with real customer value, not only platform capability.
Decide what to defer, comfortable saying no in Phase 1 when the critical path doesn't require it.
Team & Leadership
Hire, onboard, and develop a team of three Product Owners (Ontology, Data, Platform).
Set the operating rhythm across the three product surfaces and ensure they ladder up to one coherent AI intelligence strategy rather than three parallel tracks.
Lead by context rather than control, with practiced influence without authority across a squad-based matrix.
Discovery & Market
Run structured discovery with design partners across EHS, Product Compliance, and Corporate Sustainability.
Synthesize customer research, capture the voice of the customer, and maintain a continuous read on competitive displacement risk.
Inform pricing strategy, including usage-based or metered models for platform capabilities.
Technical Partnership
Partner with enabler squad architects to translate foundational capabilities into productized customer value.
Challenge architecture where product implications are unclear, and stay out of the way where they are sound.
Read architecture documents, data models, and ontology schemas well enough to ask the right questions of AI architects.
Stakeholder & External Voice
Communicate strategy, roadmap, and progress to the CAIO, CPO, CEO, commercial leadership, and customer success.
Represent the AI Intelligence portfolio externally at conferences, with analysts, with design partners, and in thought leadership.
Turn complex AI concepts into decisions executives can actually make.
👤 Profile sought:
Experience:
Minimum 10 years in product management, with at least 3 years in a product leadership role managing other PMs or POs.
Track record building AI-native, data-native, or platform products end-to-end, ideally LLM-powered applications, RAG systems, agentic workflows, or knowledge-graph-backed products.
Experience productizing foundational platform capabilities (APIs, data layers, SDKs, developer experience) alongside end-user surfaces.
Experience conducting user research and data analysis with enterprise B2B customers.
Experience operating in Agile / squad-based matrix environments with dedicated enabler squads and applied research teams.
Technical skills:
Working fluency in modern AI product patterns: RAG, vector databases, LLM gateways, prompt registries, evals and guardrails, agentic frameworks, and MCP.
Comfort reading architecture documents, data models, and ontology schemas.
Internal tooling: Jira, Confluence, SharePoint. Dragonboat is a plus.
Solid Office Suite fluency.
Bonus:
Experience under regulatory regimes (EU AI Act or equivalent).
Background in EHS, Sustainability, Product Compliance, legal tech, or adjacent regulated domains.
Experience with international business context (international client base and/or international company setup).
Experience with usage-based or metered pricing models for platform products.
Languages:
Fluent English required.
Soft skills:
Servant-based, people-first leadership style, technically credible without pretending to be the architect.
Strong communicator across technical and executive audiences.
Self-motivated, proactive, and current on AI/ML developments.
Strong opinions, loosely held, with a bias for impact over ceremony.
Excellent professional presentation skills for internal executives, external design partners, and industry forums.
🌍 Benefits & Culture:
AI stack: LLM gateways, vector databases, RAG, agentic frameworks, MCP, ontology and knowledge graphs.
Direct partnership with the Chief AI Officer and Chief Product Officer, with short feedback loops and real influence on architecture and product direction.
A seat at a small, high-impact AI leadership team shaping the product layer of a company-wide AI transformation.
Culture that treats AI as core infrastructure and a compounding moat, not the next chatbot.
Competitive compensation and flexibility.
